Thank You God

Some people wake up in the morning and say, “Good morning, God.”  Others wake up and say, “Good God, it’s morning!”  I choose to simply say, “Thank You God.”
My friend Chris Brady talks about something he calls the “second second.”  He’s referring to the second that happens, immediately after the one in which you wake up in the morning.  What is the first thought you have upon waking?
That thought is what will set the structure for your day.  That’s why in my second second, I make that affirmation.  So when I wake up after I finish sleeping, I say, “Thank You God.”  I’m grateful to wake rested and refreshed.
When the alarm goes off because I have an early flight, I say, “Thank You God.”  I’m grateful that I have a thriving business and someone wants to pay me a lot of money to speak to their group.
When I have to get up early because I have an eight or nine o’clock game, I say, “Thank You God.”  I’m grateful to still be able to have fun and play a game I love.
It doesn’t matter WHAT is going on that morning, I say, “Thank You Go
